Christmas 2025 - Part II

Stockings are hung on bedroom doors.

Beds are decorated in a holiday theme.  Although they're all grown a visit to Grandma's at Christmas time makes them all children again.

The old gas fireplace is decorated with Christmas lights, childhood Santas and early Christmas photos.   The  tea table is set with Christmas China.

A second bedroom is ready for granddaughter and her husband.

The bed is ready with polar bear pillow case from childhood sheets.  The lamb blanket,  given by her mother to Grandpa Dickey when he was sick,  is a tribute to the sheep Grandpa and Grandpa raised giving countless hours of entertainment for her Mom  and her cousins.

A mini Christmas Tree on the dresser for some Christmas color.

Mom and Dad's room

One more bed dressed in Christmas colors.

A tea party for the dolls banished from granddaughter's room.  Although we played with our dolls and loved them as children , these days kids are totally freaked out by them.  The embroidered Scotty Dog table cloth and napkins are a keepsake from Aunt Mabel.  More Christmas teacups and a Santa Claus teapot.   Peanut managed another photo bomb under the table.

Grandma's room

Grandma's room with a tray for tea.

Last but not least -  Grandpa and Peanut's "throne" room.

Peanut has her own stocking hanging with Grandpas' as "office time" is usually  spent together.

Grandpa's humor waiting for all to appreciate.

A baskets of slipper socks wait in the hall.   The floors in this old house are cold and the girls all want to run around barefoot.

But alas -    the weather outside was beyond frightful and the horse could not carry the sleigh  to Grandma's house.

The presents are out from under the tree -  Peanuts says are these all for me?

Will it be Christmas in July this year?
